The recently published Youth Work Code of Ethic from the National Youth Agency sets out the values and principles that should underpin youth work across the UK, including putting young people first, promoting inclusion, safeguarding wellbeing, listening to young people’s voices, and maintaining respect and integrity in all interactions.
At KORI, these principles have been at the heart of our work for 25 years. From creating safe spaces where young people feel heard and valued, to supporting families, championing equity, and empowering young people to shape their own futures, our approach closely reflects the standards outlined in the new Code of Ethics. The publication serves as a timely reminder of the importance of youth-centred practice and reinforces the values that continue to guide KORI’s work every day.
