Youth Collaboration Blooms Through Environmental Action

Project Brief

KORI is proud to announce its participation in the Blue Mentor Scheme, a youth-led environmental initiative powered by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds and Wildlife (RSPB). The scheme offers £560 grants to support organisations in developing eco-conscious projects, and we seized the opportunity to empower young people from our youth hubs.

Guided by the inspiring Blue Mentor facilitator Alice Woodward, our group engaged in every stage of the project—from idea generation and bid writing to hands-on delivery. This experience not only built practical skills but also deepened their connection to environmental stewardship.

As part of our Not My Label programme, the group chose to create a vibrant Wildflower Garden. Adorned with painted wish stones, personal pledges, and creative decorations, the garden is a living symbol of youth-led change and care for the planet
