We’re proud to announce that Mott MacDonald and KORI have been named winners of the Social Value Initiative of the Year at the 2025 Construction News Workforce Awards.
The prestigious awards ceremony took place on Thursday, 13 November, at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, where the industry gathered to celebrate excellence. Nearly 450 attendees came together to recognise the incredible achievements of organisations and individuals committed to making construction a great place to work.
Our joint initiative, the Blooming Minds Programme, earned this recognition for its impact in opening doors for underrepresented young people, showcasing the diverse career opportunities available in construction and engineering.
This partnership has truly bloomed over the past year, through Industry Labs and work experience, young people have had the opportunity to learn the breadth of what can be achieved in this industry.
One Industry Lab participant said, “Engineering is more versatile than I thought and in the firm there are many different positions you can take that is tailored to your strengths and weaknesses.“
Another participant was surprised at the varying avenues volunteers took, “to get to get to where they’re at“.
